What is a Digitees merch store?
A Digitees merch store is your own online store where customers can order products featuring your designs.
Digitees handles production and fulfilment, so you don't need to buy or hold stock in advance.
How much does it cost to create a merch store?
There is no setup fee or ongoing fee to create and run your own Digitees merch store.
If you'd prefer us to help build your store for you, a paid Store Setup service is also available.
Is there a limit to how many designs or products I can add?
No. You can add as many designs and products as you need.
What products can I sell in my store?
Most products suitable for individual print-on-demand fulfilment can be sold through your merch store.
Products that can only be screen printed or embroidered are not suitable for individual print-on-demand orders because those decoration methods require a minimum of 10 items with the same design.
Do I need to buy or hold stock?
No. You don't need to purchase stock in advance.
When a customer places an order, Digitees sources the garment, produces the order and ships it to the customer.
What happens when someone orders from my store?
The order comes directly to Digitees for production and fulfilment.
You don't need to manually send each order to us.
What happens if a product in my store is out of stock?
Stock availability can change as products are supplied by external apparel suppliers.
If an ordered item becomes unavailable, Digitees will manage the order and contact the customer where necessary.
Who handles customer questions about an order?
Order notes and questions relating to an order are handled by Digitees.
Messages submitted through your store's general Contact form are sent to you as the store owner.
Can I make my merch store private?
Yes. Your store can be password protected if you only want selected customers, staff, members or supporters to access it.
Can a business, school, club or organisation use a merch store?
Yes. Merch stores can also be used as private ordering portals for businesses, schools, clubs and other organisations.
Orders can be placed individually, or arrangements can be made for an organisation to pay for orders. Contact Digitees if you need this enabled.
Can I use my own domain name?
Yes. You can connect your own domain or subdomain to your Digitees merch store.
You'll need access to your domain's DNS settings to make the required changes.
Can I connect my merch store to Shopify?
Yes. Digitees merch stores can integrate with Shopify.
Shopify plan features and limitations can affect how the integration works, so check our Shopify setup guide before connecting your store.
Do I need a separate DecoNetwork fulfilment licence?
No. You do not need to purchase your own DecoNetwork Fulfilment licence to use the Digitees Shopify integration.
What if my existing website isn't Shopify?
You can still use a Digitees merch store. Add links or buttons on your existing website that send customers to your merch store to browse and order products.
How are my original design files protected?
Your high-resolution production artwork is not displayed to customers as the downloadable production file.
Lower-resolution previews and watermarking can also be used to help protect artwork displayed publicly in your store.
